Operational Support Coordinator

Customer Support

  • Coal routing patrol in pickup checking for compliance, road conditions, supervisor visibility. Check loading and unloading sites for proper truck access , road conditions etc.
  • Interacting with customers on the following:
    • Safety concerns with site conditions ie road conditions, loading and unloading site not up to expectations causing safety concerns and or risk for equipment damage.
    • Ensure all drivers have Site orientation completed with backup documentation filed. Sites involved for this is PEV, Savage Coal Piers, NSP POA, NSP Lingan and Donkin Mine

Operational Duties

  • Collecting daily coal slips, entering into designated data base.
  • Distribute coal summary reports to billing group and customer as required.
  • Complete understanding of driver Scorecard, review, coaching and discipline process.
  • Track driver unproductive time in spreadsheet to be approved by Operations Manager.
  • Understanding of all Coal shipment activity for Kameron, Savage and Lafarge.
  • Providing back up support for Operations Manager when needed. IE Vacations or days when required.
  • Fuel card management - deal with fuel cards, bad pin #’s, bad cards etc
  • Ensure proper parking plan is being followed by all live units.
  • Maintenance scheduling with Sydney shop for all coal assets. Maintenance updates from shop to Manager.
  • Manage Parking Plan in Prime Brook

Driver Engagement

  • Pre-employment screening assistance for all drivers, including D&A scheduling and random D&A testing.
  • Driver Schedules completed weekly/monthly.
  • Develop strong relationships with drivers to support them in day to day duties driving safety at all times…
  • Track and manage all vacation requests, log for OPS manager to review.
  • PeopleNet on board computer – Complete understanding of PNET functions and ensure drivers are trained on use.
