Office Cleaner

As a family-owned business the members of the Seaboard Transport Group work together as a unit filled with transportation enthusiasts on the road, on the ground and in the office. Seaboard Armour Transportation and Logistics is currently hiring an Office Cleaner based in Dartmouth, NS.

Schedule:

  • Full time
  • 6 days a week

Core Job Functions:

  • Daily commuting between three office buildings within the Dartmouth area for daily cleaning duties
  • Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors, as well as dusting surfaces, fixtures, and furniture throughout the buildings
  • Cleaning and sanitizing restrooms, including toilets, sinks, mirrors, showers, and floors
  • Clean and disinfect the employee lunchroom including tables, counters and fridges
  • Clean and disinfect elevators
  • Pick up debris and empty waste receptacle
  • Transport garbage from drop points to garbage bins
  • Replenish cleaning solutions
  • Follow procedures for dilution of detergents
  • Monitoring cleaning supplies inventory
  • Notifying supervisor concerning the need for major repairs
  • By annual “internal” window cleaning
  • Company will supply all toiletries and equipment needed for this role
  • Other duties as required

Requirements:

  • Auto Scrub experience a MUST
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with employees
  • Strong time management skills
  • Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
  • Experience in performing various cleaning activities in a corporate environment an asset
  • Class 5 license
  • Clean driving history – verified through a driver’s abstract
  • Be able to meet the physical demands of the role – standing, walking, and ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Familiarity with Occupational Health & Safety and WHMIS
