Business Development Manager

Join us today as we are currently hiring a Business Development Manager for our Petroleum Division based in North York, ON.

 

Core Job Functions:

  • Lead the development of business in the Petroleum division, primarily focussed in Central & Eastern Canada initially
  • Create and maintain Sales funnel, review performance weekly / monthly against targets
  • Develop and present value propositions which include rate proposals, operating plans, service commitments etc.
  • Manage relationships with key decision makers at each customer account, focussed on Tier II accounts
  • Address service or other concerns customers may have from time to time
  • Develop sales plans and growth strategies in collaboration with business leadership and VP Sales
  • Work with Operating Teams on daily/weekly basis to ensure Capacity / Demand is managed to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
  • Work with collections team and customers to ensure Accounts Receivable targets are met
  • Represent the company at key industry events as required
  • Attain market intelligence to assist business in developing appropriate competitive strategies
  • Assist with the commissioning of new sales
  • Participate/contribute to business leadership meetings and reviews as required
  • Participate/contribute to the budget planning process

 

Job Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma in a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in business to business outside sales with a proven track record in a hunter role, focused on generating new business ad expanding market share
  • Experience in Petroleum Industry required
  • Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
  • Strong organizational and analytical skills
  • Proven ability to deal proactively and professionally with internal and external customers
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong interpersonal skills required
  • High level of motivation and energy
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
  • Willingness to travel
