Mission:
Drive the organic growth of Bulk Transportation Services by identifying and securing new business opportunities and nurturing existing customer relationships. As a key player in our team, you will be instrumental in expanding our customer base, building strong partnerships, and achieving our growth objectives.
Role Responsibilities:
- Spearhead the growth of our Highway Dedicated Logistics (HDL) division’s diverse product lines, including Chemical Liquid & Dry, Agricultural Dry, Food Grade Liquid & Dry, Mining Sector, and Rail Transloading.
- Create and maintain a robust Sales funnel, review performance weekly/monthly against targets
- Assist with the onboarding and commissioning of new outside sales.
- Develop and present value propositions which include rate proposals, operating plans, service commitments, etc.
- Build and manage relationships with key decision-makers and stakeholders. Address and resolve service issues and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction. Address service or other concerns customer may have from time to time
- Develop sales plan and growth strategies in collaboration with business leadership
- Work closely with operating teams to balance capacity and demand, ensuring revenue and profitability targets are met.
- Work with collections team and customer to ensure Accounts Receivable targets are met
- Represent the company at key industry events as required
- Attain market intelligence to assist business in developing appropriate competitive strategies
- Participate/contribute to business leadership meetings and reviews as required
- Participate/contribute to the budget planning process
Job Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience in business to business outside sales with a proven track record in a hunter role, focused on generating new business and expanding market share.
- Degree or Diploma in a related field or equivalent work experience
- Experience in transportation is considered an asset
- Proven ability to work in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong analytical skills
- Proven ability to deal productively and professionally with internal and external customers
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Impeccable organizational skills
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Willingness to travel throughout Ontario as required
