Duties and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensure master data integrity in key systems, maintaining processes to support data quality across the organization.
  • Identify and address data quality issues by implementing error detection, correction, and process improvement strategies.
  • Maintain and enhance the quality of master data in key systems, working with functional data owners to document and support ongoing data integrity.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and data stewards to implement data strategies, policies, controls, and programs that ensure enterprise data is accurate, complete, secure, and reliable.
  • Resolve data quality issues through effective error detection, correction, and process design strategies in collaboration with SMEs and data stewards.
  • Manage and analyze data initiatives, ensuring revisions align with internal and customer requirements while adhering to data standards.
  • Assist in data management, governance, and quality assurance for master data, ensuring integrity across financial systems and operations.
  • Partner with business and IT teams to align master data rules with application operations, ensuring all requirements are met.
  • Support the application and implementation of data standards, coding structures, and replication guidelines to maintain data access and integrity.
  • Conduct data cleaning to remove outdated, unused, or duplicate data for improved management and quicker access.
  • Develop and implement strategies to translate business requirements into effective data warehouse designs, ensuring alignment with business needs.
  • Provide data consulting to support business and IT initiatives, improving client database systems.
  • Perform other duties as required.

Job Requirements:

Experience:

  • A bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Information Technology, Data Management, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
  • A willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies in data management.
  • Experience in the transportation industry is a plus.

Soft Skills:

  • Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking to assess data accuracy and integrity.
  • Ability to identify data discrepancies and recommend solutions.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills for collaborating with different teams and presenting findings.
  • Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, including IT, finance, and business units, to achieve data integrity goals.
  • Capability to troubleshoot data issues and develop effective solutions.

Technical Skills:

  • Basic understanding of database management systems (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
  • Familiarity with data quality tools and data governance frameworks.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis tools.
  • Basic knowledge of business operations and how data impacts various functions.
  • Understanding of data management principles and best practices, including data lifecycle management.
