Join us today as we are currently hiring a Business Development Manager for our Petroleum Division based in North York, ON.
Core Job Functions:
- Lead the development of business in the Petroleum division, primarily focussed in Central & Eastern Canada initially
- Create and maintain Sales funnel, review performance weekly / monthly against targets
- Develop and present value propositions which include rate proposals, operating plans, service commitments etc.
- Manage relationships with key decision makers at each customer account, focussed on Tier II accounts
- Address service or other concerns customers may have from time to time
- Develop sales plans and growth strategies in collaboration with business leadership and VP Sales
- Work with Operating Teams on daily/weekly basis to ensure Capacity / Demand is managed to achieve revenue and profitability targets.
- Work with collections team and customers to ensure Accounts Receivable targets are met
- Represent the company at key industry events as required
- Attain market intelligence to assist business in developing appropriate competitive strategies
- Assist with the commissioning of new sales
- Participate/contribute to business leadership meetings and reviews as required
- Participate/contribute to the budget planning process
Job Requirements:
- Degree or Diploma in a related field
- 5+ years of experience in business to business outside sales with a proven track record in a hunter role, focused on generating new business ad expanding market share
- Experience in Petroleum Industry required
- Excellent communication skills - verbal and written
- Strong organizational and analytical skills
- Proven ability to deal proactively and professionally with internal and external customers
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal skills required
- High level of motivation and energy
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong computer skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) required
- Willingness to travel
