Supply Chain Project Manager

Seaboard is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Project Manager to oversee operations at our Woodstock, ON terminal. This role is essential for driving project management initiatives while maintaining safe, compliant, and efficient operations. About the Role

As a Project Manager, you will:

  • Manage capital expansion projects, including facility upgrades and rail yard construction.
  • Oversee daily terminal operations, ensuring safety, efficiency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Lead transloading operations for truck and railcar logistics.
  • Conduct safety audits and foster a culture of accountability.
  • Maintain strong customer relationships and ensure operational excellence.

 

Key Responsibilities

Project Management:

  • Oversee all capital projects, including permitting, environmental assessments, and budgeting.
  • Coordinate with contractors, engineers, and vendors.

Operational Leadership:

  • Coordinate truck/railcar traffic and ensure a safe, organized yard.
  • Supervise transloading operations and provide leadership during management absences.

Safety & Compliance:

  • Lead safety initiatives, including audits and training.
  • Ensure compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations (TDG, OH&S, MECP).

Administrative Oversight:

  • Support payroll, scheduling, reporting, and hiring.
  • Develop KPIs to track operational performance.

Site Maintenance & Equipment:

  • Manage yard maintenance, track inspections, and equipment certifications.

Training & Development:

  • Provide training for staff to promote professionalism and safety awareness.

 

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in project and operations management, preferably in logistics or industrial settings.
  • Strong knowledge of safety regulations and hazardous material handling.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to foster team development and accountability.
  • Technical expertise in facility maintenance and rail infrastructure management.
  • Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.

Preferred Backgrounds:

  • Project Management, Logistics, or Engineering
  • Terminal/Railroad Operations, Oil & Gas, or Chemical Handling
  • Warehouse/Distribution Management or Industrial Site Leadership

Certifications (Preferred):

  • PMP, TDG, HAZMAT, or Lean Six Sigma
  • Occupational Health & Safety Certification
  • RAC Certification or relevant formal training
