Job Title: Recruitment Coordinator

Location: North York, ON

Reporting to: Vice President
Accountable to: Recruitment Manager

Job Summary:
The Recruitment Coordinator – Ontario will support the recruitment efforts for Owner Operators and company drivers, ensuring a seamless and professional candidate experience. This role involves coordinating interviews, managing onboarding processes, and assisting with driver training and sign-offs in partnership with Operations. The Recruitment Coordinator will also represent the company to potential candidates, providing detailed information about the organization, roles, and compensation packages.

Core Responsibilities:

  1. Candidate Coordination & Communication:
    • Engage with potential candidates, conducting pre-screens and discussing company opportunities, pay packages, and benefits.
    • Coordinate and schedule interviews with candidates and hiring teams, ensuring a professional and efficient process.
    • Maintain an organized record of candidate outreach and progress.
  2. Recruitment Support:
    • Support the company in generating candidate leads and maintaining a recruitment funnel for Ontario Energy division.
    • Attend and coordinate attendance at recruitment-related events within Ontario, representing the company in a professional manner.
    • Assist in creating and managing job postings and ads to attract drivers in partnership with the Corporate Recruitment Department.
  3. Onboarding & Training:
    • Oversee the onboarding process for new drivers, ensuring all necessary documentation and pre-hire steps are completed.
    • Partner with Operations to coordinate and manage driver training and sign-offs.
    • Track and manage records for drivers in training, including associated costs.
  4. Collaboration & Reporting:
    • Provide regular updates to the Recruitment Manager, HR, and Operations on recruitment activity and candidate status.
    • Work with Operations and HR to address driver support needs and escalations.
    • Assist in maintaining updated records of driver profiles, growth requests, and incidents.
  5. Event & Field Representation:
    • Travel as required within Ontario to attend events and meet with potential candidates.
    • Represent the company professionally, including providing accurate information on roles, pay, and operational details.
    • Support field marketing initiatives, such as applying company branding to vehicles during recruitment efforts.

Qualifications:

  • Strong organizational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities, with the confidence to speak knowledgeably about company offerings.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in using recruitment tools, tracking systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel within Ontario, including overnight trips, and flexibility to make or take calls during weekends.
  • Experience in recruitment or human resources is an asset but not required.

Additional Details:

  • This role requires travel to meet drivers and attend events across Ontario.
  • Some weekend work may be required to communicate with prospective candidates.
